The Eurovision 2026 season is beginning to heat up. Over the course of the next few months, we will all fall in and out of love with scores of new national final and Eurovision entries. But that doesn’t mean we forget about the artists from past contests.
Contrary to the commonly perpetuated myth about the song contest killing careers, we’re always thrilled to report that singers associated with Eurovision are thriving.
Here is our latest weekly roundup with a selection of the songs released recently by Eurovision stars.
New music from Eurovision artists: 2025 | Week 49
Thomas Raggi – MASQUERADE
Following endeavours from Damiano David and Victoria, Thomas Raggi is now the latest member of Måneskin to embark on a solo music career. The Italian star sticks to what he knows best — shredding the guitar — and has invited several singers to provide vocals on the nine songs. Get ready to rock out.
Waxx feat. Louane – “Gabrielle”
Waxx is a French guitarist and music producer. This week, he released the new studio album Étincelle 2. Each song features a different vocalist and on track #3, “Gabrielle,” you’ll here Eurovision 2025 star Louane. It’s a delicate ballad, with Louane’s soft vocals accompanied by acoustic guitar.
Klavdia – “Anemos”
Klavdia is here to blow you away with her newest song. “Anemos” (“Wind”) begins in a similar vein to her Eurovision 2025 song — a powerful and almost spiritual ballad. But producer ARCADE takes things in a different direction at the 2:30 minute mark, adding in club and dance beats to create a dynamic climax. In the chorus, the Greek star sings: “I was born a wind, I will die a wind / As I pass through your lips, hold me above / Wind will give birth, your sweet kiss / To the blue sky, to return, to return with you.”
alyona alyona – Наймузичніша ялинка країни
alyona alyona is rounding off the year with a brand new album. Although it’s titled Наймузичніша ялинка країни (The most musical Christmas tree in the country), the LP is not full of Christmas songs. Instead, it features nine tracks in which the star collaborates with several different artists. Fans will know five of them already, leaving four new songs to explore — including “З понеділка” (“From Monday”) alongside Шугар, which comes with a fun music video.
The Eurovision 2024 competitor will perform all the songs live at a special concert on 20 December, joined by many of those who feature on the album
Tautumeitas & Petunija – “Tamsią Naktį”
Latvia and Lithuania unite. Eurovision 2025 group Tautumeitas have collaborated with past Eurovizija.LT contestant Petunija for the new ethereal track “Tamsią Naktį” (“Dark Night”). The Baltic artists unite through music and the discussion of cold winter nights: “Until the sun rose / On the dark night of January / When no one expected / To be blinded by the light / She woke up a beast / Nowhere seen / The earth opened up / As if through cold glass.”
Douwe Bob – “What The World Needs Now”
In perhaps the most timely release of the week, Douwe Bob has shared a cover of “What The World Needs Now.” Burt Bacharach’s 1965 hit calls for “Love, sweet love / No not just for some but for everyone.” The Netherlands’ Eurovision 2016 contestant adds his personal touch to the recording.
Slimane – Il faut que tu saches
Slimane hasn’t had the year he would have liked. Following an accusation of sexual harassment, which he was found guilty of in September, the French singer almost left the music industry all together. However, the Eurovision 2024 star has taken time to reflect and improve on himself, before eventually getting back into the studio to record the new album Il faut que tu saches (You need to know). The LP features 10 passionate ballads, through which Slimane hopes people will be able to learn more about himself as a person:
“It’s here. A year ago, I wouldn’t have gone back to the studio for anything in the world. I thought music was over for me, but thanks to you, your support, your love, and thanks to my team, I went back… We searched, we cried, we loved. Making this album was a way of saying thank you, thank you for these ten years. It was also about inviting you into my world and telling you a little more about myself. I love you.”
Anxhela Peristeri – “Piano dhe ti,” “Falenderoje” & “Qava”
Anxhela Peristeri has a trio of songs for us. All three are ballads, though they each have their own individual sentiment. “Piano dhe ti” (“Piano and you”) starts off softly before a crescendo into the chorus. “Falenderoje” (“Thanks”) features a mix of strings and electric guitars. Finally, “Qava” (“Cried”) keeps things at a steady mid-tempo pace throughout.
KALUSH & BEREZA – “Ліхтарі”
Regular collaborators KALUSH (Eurovision 2022 winner) and BEREZA are back at it again. This time, the Ukrainian artists have joined forces for “Ліхтарі” (“Lanterns”), a track that mixes pop, house and rap. Lyrically, KALUSH and BEREZA discuss the chemistry of first touches and that sweet scent of love that doesn’t fade with time: “You, you, my addiction / I will be careful with you / Until you take me away without a change.”
First Breath After Coma feat. Salvador Sobral – A Residência
Last week, First Breath After Coma and Eurovision 2017 champion Salvador Sobral released a joint single. But they weren’t finished with just one collaboration. They’ve now shared an entire album together, featuring an intro and seven songs. Dive into A Residência (The Residence) for a mix of indie, soft rock, jazz, and the interestingly experimental track “Got My Needs” with additional contributions from YASMiNNA.
Lord Of The Lost & IAMX – “What Have We Become?”
Only one week to go until Lord Of The Lost share their new album. The German band have shared one final teaser ahead of the LP’s release. “What Have We Become?” sees the Eurovision 2023 alum collaborating with IAMX, the solo project of English singer Chris Corner. An experimental metal track, the chorus notes: “Longing for more / We’re alone, oh oh / The same to the core / But we live in disparity / No reason to believe / That we won’t end in grief / This is a war / What have we become.”
La Zarra – “F*** You”
La Zarra has never been afraid to say things with her chest. This confidence, or stubbornness, is showcased in full view with her new single “F*** You.” France’s Eurovision 2023 star aims her words at those who would go behind her back and play games with her, as La Zarra is determined not to diminish her character: “I don’t hide my mistakes and flaws / No, I don’t want to have to mince my words / I’m not one of those proper people / I’ll give you / What I have, what I’m worth.”
A music video is available for viewing on YouTube.
Kasia Moś et al. – “MY”
Eurovision 2017 star Kasia Moś has long been an advocaat for animal rights. This continues with the new single “MY” (“WE”), written for Polish dog rescue centre Psierociniec. Kasia is joined by several other singers on the song, which speaks about the fragility of life and those who choose care over comfort: “A silent voice / A fragile fate / Courage is probably still the most precious thing / I hope I have the strength to help.”
Commenting about the song on social media, Kasia Moś stated:
“We created this song for people who are heroes not from movies, but from everyday life. For those who, through the difficult times, still take a deep breath and keep going, even though sometimes the whole world seems to be breaking. Many beautiful things are born in silence. It’s a song about strength that doesn’t scream — it goes on. Just like in the Psierociniec Foundation, where every day someone leans over an old, sick pet and gives it something that can’t be bought – presence.”
Kaliopi & Slatkaristika – “Vodi me”
North Macedonian artist Slatkaristika releases a new EP this week. Одлични (5) contains five songs, the last one of which is a collaboration with two-time Eurovision star Kaliopi. “Vodi me,” which translates to “Take me” in English, is blends rap verses with a pop ballad chorus.
ISAAK – “Do It Again” & “Drown In The Rush”
There’s plenty of new music coming from ISAAK this December. Germany’s Eurovision 2024 contestant is celebrating the run-up to Christmas by releasing a new song every Advent Sunday. The first of these was “Do It Again,” a spirited percussion-driven pop song. Then, this week we were gifted the indie rock-tinged track “Drown In The Rush.”
Lindita – “How Far ?”
Lindita’s latest single is “How Far ?” Albania’s Eurovision 2017 entrant serves up a mid-tempo offering in which she question how much her lover is willing to do to showcase their love for her: “Is it me you running to? / Is the feeling true? / Joining in your blues / Say you feel it to / How far will you go for me?”
Nina Badrić – “Moj rodni grad”
Nina Badrić hails from Zagreb in Croatia. The Eurovision 2012 participant sets the scene of her latest song in this very city. “Moj rodni grad” (“My hometown”) is a steady ballad in which Badrić misses a loved one. She can feel the entire city connecting to her emotions: “When you’re not here / And who’s to blame, I’ll stay longing for you / Now and forever / It’s raining over Zagreb / It’s raining at night, it’s raining for days / Let it cry with me / And my hometown.”
Deep Zone Project – “Върни ме”
Bulgaria’s Deep Zone Project (Eurovision 2008) return with the new single “Върни ме” (“Take me back”). The track mixes elements of electro, house, pop and alternative rock, but it also has an emotive punch to it courtesy of lead singer Eva-Maria Petrova. She sings of her desire to never go without the love of her partner: “Verify yourself in front of me / Without you, I won’t search for feelings or desires / I couldn’t live without your love.”
PAENDA – “Fires”
PAENDA sung the ballad “Limits” at Eurovision 2019. Since then, the Austrian singer has primarily focused on dance pop tunes; but now, after six years, she is retuning to the softer side of her artistry. “Fires” is an emotional piano ballad about the end of a relationship: “‘Cause even the brightest fire burns out when there’s nothing left to burn / And even the highest flames can’t hide that there’s no way we can return / There’s no more fuel.”
In a post on Instagram about the song, PAENDA noted:
“I always feel very vulnerable when I release such a personal song, and this time, releasing another ballad after ‘Limits’, on top of that, brought up a lot of emotions — including the fear of being boxed in again.
But the early support from you has made this release feel so easy and really special to me. Thank you so much.”
C21 – “SECRETS”
Paradise Hotel is a reality show that sees singles living in a hotel resort and competing to see who can stay the longest. The Danish rendition is the most successful version of the franchise, with the 22nd season set to air in 2026. Boyband C21, which includes Eurovision 2016 star Søren Bregendal, have recorded the official theme song for this upcoming season — “SECRETS.”
Intelligent Music Project – Fiction
Intelligent Music Project represented Bulgaria at Eurovision in 2022. The international rock band has a rotating list of members, with the latest line-up being Joseph Williams (TOTO), Simon Phillips (TOTO, Protocol) and Carl Sentance (Nazareth). This trio have created IMP’s ninth studio album, titled Fiction.
Scarlet Aura feat. Ovidiu Anton – “Noi Suntem Români”
“Noi Suntem Români” (“We Are Romanians”) is a patriotic Romanian folk song, originally sung by Nicolae Furdui Iancu. Heavy metal band Scarlet Aura have decided to give the anthem a new twist, filled with plenty of electric guitars and base drums. Featured on this new version is Ovidui Anton, who was set to participate at Eurovision 2016 until Romania was forced to withdraw.
Luciana Abreu & Micaela – “Hoje Sei”
Luciana Abreu competed at Eurovision 2005 for Portugal as one half of the duo 2B. She’s now found a new duet partner for her latest single, teaming up with Micaela for “Hoje Sei” (“Today I Know”). The pair deliver a 00’s pop track about pushing forward in your life and not looking in the rear-view mirror: “Today I know / That we’re just getting started / You will hear and feel / You don’t have to look back / What’s past is past / The future has already arrived.”
Abudu feat. Monika Liu – “Stolkeris”
Alternative rock band Abudu have dropped the song “Stolkeris” (“Stalker”). The track features Monika Liu, though you’ll have to wait a while before hearing the Eurovision 2022 star — she enters almost three minutes into the track, singing: “Like you I keep old shots inside / And today the breath of air is so bitter / Let’s stay forever just me and you.”
TWINZ feat. Jérémie Makiese & Yeux Ébènes – “J’ai capté”
Music producer duo TWINZ have drafted in Yeux Ébènes and Jérémie Makiese, Belgium’s Eurovision 2022 singer, to feature on their song “J’ai capté” (“I get it”). Utilising an afro beat style, Yeux Ébènes take the lead initially before Jérémie adds in a rap verse just after the one minute mark.
Ivo Linna & Supernova – “Kui Öö…”
Ivo Linna represented Estonia at Eurovision in 1996. His latest single is “Kui Öö…” (“When Night…”), a collaboration with the band Supernova. The song acts as a reminder about the importance of lending a helping hand, as Linna notes:
“If you can help someone in need, it makes you feel like your soul is cleansed. It’s great when you can lend a helping hand to those who really need it. That’s what the new song is about, and I think the approaching Christmas season is when you need to show your true kindness.”
Magdalena Tul – “W swetrze” & “I’ll Be Around”
Magdalena Tul has shared two new songs recently. The first is in her native Polish — “W swetrze” (“In a sweater”). A mid-tempo ballad, Tul wishes for a more relaxed nature to her relationship: “If you loved me in a sweater / And a pulled-out sweatshirt / Without makeup or scent / Chanel on my skin / It would be somehow more homely / So relaxed.”
The other is an English-language song titled “I’ll Be Around.” The Eurovision 2011 participant revealed she is trying to make a comeback to the contest and has submitted this song to Poland’s selection for 2026. We’ll have to wait and see if she makes it to the national final.
New national final songs from Eurovision artists
As fans will attest, once you’ve got the Eurovision bug it’s hard to let go. So it’s no wonder that every year some past participants of the contest want to have another chance at representing their country.
Here are the new songs from such artists released this week that have been entered into a national selection for Eurovision 2026.
Getter Jaani – “The Game” (Eesti Laul)
Vanilla Ninja – “Too Epic To Be True” (Eesti Laul)
